VOLUNTEER NOW

The church is a community of people, not just bricks and mortar, and St John's is no exception. The 'many hands' that do God's work are busy in a plethora of ways and each task is as valuable as the next.
Ways to get involved:

For our services and liturgy:
Sing in the choir or play a musical instrument
Serve at the altar
Help with our children's activities
Read a lesson
Be a welcomer
Make the tea and coffee afterwards

During the week:
Help clean the church on the first Saturday of the month (10am-1pm)
Arrange flowers for Sunday services
Help out at our winter night shelter for the homeless (Jan-Mar)
Enrol as a first aider
Be a part of our children and youth activities during the school holidays
Help with fund-raising ideas and organising our annual summer fete
Administration duties

For many of these activities you will need little or no previous experience or training, just a bit of time and a willingness to 'love thy neighbour'.
