Andrew Coombs is a movement based artist. He has studied costume and fashion design. After working in the clothing industry, Andrew trained in dance at The Laban Centre and performing arts at Middlesex University. He now works in a range of creative practices believing in the transformative power of the arts in our lives.
Andrew is interested in using movement and dance as a medium for learning, discovery and fantastic living. Andrew works as a performer, choreographer, director and costume maker. He facilitates arts activities which combine movement, play and craft in a variety of settings with a range of different people.
He is director of Adrenalindance, a company which creates theatre and events for young people and children. The company makes theatre which is interactive and participatory from early years to pre-teens.
Andrew and Adrenalindance are resident at St John at Hackney’s Church. Working with St John’s wider community, Andrew is developing arts led activities and projects .Currently Andrew is enjoying hosting a regular session at the church, called Romp an Roll, a fun creative movement session for young children and their carers.

Emily was born in Cornwall. She has been working in the community of Hackney for several years as an events organiser and project coordinator. She joined the team at St John's in November 08!
Emily is a published author, singer and composer.
John Tribe first came to St John's in 2007. John became First Aid Coordinator, working as a team, with Janet, his Deputy and wife, in 2008. John has been involved with St John Ambulance for 30 years (Janet 10 years) and has worked as a paramedic for 13 years.
John became the Church Caretaker in 2009 and is a valuable and trusted member of the team.
