EDUCATION IN HACKNEY
We support several charities and institutions locally, founded in our great past. Chiefly among them we support two church schools- founded in 1520 by the Rev’d Christopher Urswick.

Primary

The school building in Isabella Road and the newer premises for the younger children in Mehetabel Road are both recently improved and refurbished and provide some of the best facilities. The school runs clubs outside school hours including training for sports events the school competes in, and other vocational activities.

At the core of the school’s policies is a commitment to Gospel values ensuring that Hackney Free and Parochial has a strong Christian ethos. Whilst the school is an Anglican foundation it is also a highly diverse and vibrant community where 48 languages are spoken by students. Hackney Free values and respects all faiths and cultural backgrounds.

The school is a Specialist Sports College. Hackney Free wants all students to be academically successfully, spiritually developed and make healthy lifestyle choices.
